Well, it's been about a year and about 1,000 views since I started the blog, so as a fitting offering for this "anniversary post" I present the finished German contingent, along with a few shots of the whole army as it stands now.
Compared to what other painters can do in a year, it's not much, but I am very pleased all the same.
Great stuff, that is how I imagine the German Contingent would have looked in 1487. I look forward to seeing how you choose to do the Irish.
ReplyDeleteThanks very much! It's rather a poor showing compared to your far more prolific output, but I'm glad you like them. The Irish will be a mix of converted Perry Sudanese, Claymore Castings, and the AO French infantry set (when it's eventually released).
DeleteFantastic work - saw your thread on LAF and was inspired!
ReplyDeleteJust a quick question but the where is he figure on the front right corner of the pike block (when looking at it face on) from? He has a sword and is holding his helmet onto his head.
Hello, Callum! Thanks for your interest. Just saw your post on LAF as well. The figure is a Swiss officer from Foundry. Their Swiss range is wonderful and has a bunch of interesting and characterful poses. I imagine him as lowering his visor in time with the pikes coming down.
